I woke up one night to the moonlight
The moonlight shining trough the open window
The open window I had closed last night
I had a dream one night
The moonlight had carried me away
Away to an other land
I woke up one night to the sunlight
To the sunlight warming my sink
The skin of my body lying on a meadow
I lay on a meadow one day
One day once had been night
The night the moonlight had carried me away
I watched the clouds move away in the sky
The sky of an innocent blue
Of an innocent blue tough middle in the night
I stretched out my hand
I stretched out my hand towards the sky
The sky some birds flew under
I stretched out my hand to catch
To catch something falling
To catch a falling bird
I caught the falling bird
The falling bird of bright colors
The colors of the night
I held it close to me
To me, who walked and walked
Who walked on an endless meadow
I wandered, forgetting the world around me
But not forgetting the bird in my hands
Miu, I said, Miu I shall call you.
I wanted Miu to stay
To stay by my side tough days had past
Days had past and Miu had grown
I did not want to let her go
But Miu had eventually learned to fly
She had learned to spread her wings and fly
I watched as she flew away with the wind
Miu!, I cried, do not leave me, I beg you, Miu!
But Miu flew away, carried by the winds
I wandered trough the meadow
Leaving miles behind me tough on my own
Miles left behind, the meadow will not end
I had reached the moment of despair
When looking in to the sky after days of wandering
I saw something fall
Miu fell from the sky once more
But she did not fall out of control
She fell with pride and dignity
Darkness, Darkness, she whispered into my ear
Darkness will fall on you
It will fall and suffocate you in the doubts of life
Fly! Fly!, she cried, spread your wings!
Which wings?, I asked
Which wings am I to spread?
I heard a muffled laugh from above me
From above me where Miu had gone now
Miu who had learned to fly, with wings
She flew above me as I watched
As I watched her soar trough the skies
As I watched I understood
I stood up from the ground
From the ground of the endless meadow
The meadow I were to leave flying
I woke up one night to the moonlight
The moonlight shining trough the open window
Trough the window Miu had left
I lay in my bed one night
The night I understood
Even I, who doesn’t have wings,
Even I eventually would learn to fly
